Christmas Morning
Santa brought each kid two presents and filled their stockings!
They even got some yummy Christmas candy.

My mother-in-law gave Harrison a Peter Pan costume and made him an awesome Superman cape. He wears them all the time!

I must say I feel a little undeserving of the Christmas gifts I got. I was very spoiled this year. My mother-in-law gave me a KitchenAid mixer, my mom got me a Kindle and my husband gave me PEARLS - real pearls! He also got me the coolest picture of our kids and sent me and my mom to a Spa for massages on Christmas Eve. I feel guilty listing off some of the gifts we got this year, especially since Tag and I try really hard to not get caught up in the commercialism of the season. The generous gifts I received were very unexpected and I LOVE THEM ALL!!! The funny thing is one of my favorites is a chapstick from my sister -in- law. Best chapstick ever!!!

Despite the bad reviews, we took the kids to see Yogi Bear on Christmas. We thought it was cute, the kids loved it. We had a very fun Christmas!
On the 28th my aunt flew in from California.
We had a great time showing her around.
She and my mom took Lily and her new doll out to lunch. Lily came home and told me that Elizabeth was in trouble for licking the table at the restaurant. Seriously, what kind of doll behaves that way! She was definitely deserving of a time out - poor, Elizabeth! Don't worry though, Elizabeth is usually very well mannered, she and Lily have become inseparable.

I gave my mom, aunt and Tag gift cards to go to this Speedway race car place. They had a blast, but wrecked a few times, too. Everyone was sore the next day.

I didn't get any pictures of New Years Eve. We actually did something this year! Tag and I haven't been awake for the NewYear in many, many years. We went to a friend's house and played a couple of very aggressive rounds of spoons. There was blood and Tag's new glasses broke. Good times. We danced the night away with Just Dance 2 for the Wii. We also enjoyed a smorgasbord of yummy snacks. We had a very fun time. Maybe we'll stay up again next year :)
I'm not big on resolutions, but this year I did come up with a couple that I feel are note worthy. Since Tag and I are homebodies, I want to make a bigger effort to get together with friends and neighbors.
My second resolution is to be better at Thank you cards. Once upon a time I was very good at writing them and making sure they made it into the mail box. I still have a stack of half written thank you notes from when Lucy was born and Lily and Harrison's birthday. Every time I see the stack it makes me cringe that all those people have gone unthanked. We were so grateful for all the freezer meals we were given and no one knows how much we appreciated the time and effort they spent in making them. Ugghhh. That will change this year, I'm determined to be better at thank you cards.
Every year I make a resolution to read more books. I seem to be fairly successful at this one. I've added it to my list again. I need to feel like I accomplish something every year :)
Happy New Year to everyone we know and love. I had really good intentions of getting Christmas cards out this year - but failed - again. I just want to take a minute to thank the people who thought of us this year. Even though you didn't get a Christmas card from us, you still gave us one. That really means a lot to me. Please don't give up on me. One of these years I will surprise you all with a card. Maybe that is resolution #4 - get Christmas cards out this year. Your cards make us feel loved and it reminds me of how many truly incredible families we know. Thank you for thinking of us!
Sweet Sibling Moments
Tag and I realize how incredibly blessed we are to have 3 very sweet, tender hearted children. They do have their moments of bickering and crying, but for the most part they get along very well. They are very kind and loving to each other. It melts my heart to see them play so sweetly together.

Harrison loves Lucy and is very protective of her. This moment brought me so much joy to see them asleep together. It doesn't get much better than this.
Harrison adores Lily! He follows her around everyday and wants to do everything she does. They sat down to watch a show together and he fell asleep on her. Lily being the sweet girl that she is, she just let him lay there. Can you tell these are the moments that make me gush!!! I really do love being a mom!
Lucy crawling?
About a week ago, Lucy started getting up on her knees looking like she was going to crawl. She rocks back and forth and gets very excited. She will even push herself forward a little. I might have jumped the gun a little though, because that's pretty much all she does. It might happen for real any day now, but she is taking her time figuring it out. She will even go from the sitting position to her stomach or her knees. We are almost there, I can feel it! She has also figured out that she can move pretty quick by rolling. She will roll all the way across the room in a matter of seconds. I have to be very careful with her because if I turn around for even a split second she's gone. She's very quick!
