Girls Weekend

The girls and I hopped on a plane and headed out to my cousin's wedding in Las Vegas.  We stopped off in California to spend the night at my mom's before driving out to the wedding.  My aunt's car broke down in the desert making it so that we walked into the wedding just as it started.  Luckily, my uncle and I were driving my mom's car.  I'm writing about it because it's one of those stories I don't ever want to forget.  It's the kind of story that causes some stress in the moment it's happening, but hilarious later on.  I'm kicking myself for not taking a picture of the desert breakdown.  I had such a good time hanging out with my girls.  The boys stayed home to do whatever boys do :)

Mmmmm . . . Fondue

Tag and I went on a date with some friends to a fabulous fondue resturaunt.   The food was amazing, and so was the company.  It was fun to go out and enjoy the evening with good friends.

Tea Party

Our neighbor's kids came over to ask if Lily and Harrison could come outside to have a tea party.  They even brought the tea set with them.  I put out a blanket and gave them some water to use and it kept them busy for awhile.

Miniature Golf

The kids got to go to a miniature golf birthday party.  We were the only people on the course, which allowed the kids the freedom to run around and not have to wait in line to play.

When I took a picture of Lily with her friend Mason, the birthday boy, it reminded me of a picture I took of them when they were 3 years old.

Harrison's BFF

Caleb is Harrison's closest friend.  He talks about him all the time and always wants to play with him.  He usually refers to him as, "my best friend, Caleb"

Best Friends

I have to document some of the sweet sister moments that happen so often, but I rarely pick up my camera to capture them.  Lucy hadn't been feeling well, I put her on the couch and it wasn't long before Lily came and cozied up to her.  Love these girls!  Lucy has started to say Lily.  I love hearing her call out to her big sister.

The newest Lucy trick is that she tries to change her own diaper.  Luckily, only wet diapers or just for fun when she isn't even dirty.  She lays down on the floor with a clean diaper in hand and tries her hardest to get it on.  Funny, funny, girl.

One of my favorite times of the year

I love the fall.  I love the way it smells outside.  I love the leaves changing color.  I love the hot summer weather starting to wear off.  Most of all, I love taking a drive through the beautiful mountains covered in gorgeous shades of yellow, orange, red and green with my kids.

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life For Me

Harrison was very excited to plan a pirate themed birthday party.  My mother -in- law sent tons of pirate stuff for the party which motivated me to really get into it.  Harrison loved inviting his friends over to participate in some good ol' pirate fun.  Happy birthday, Harrison!  You are an awesome boy, we love you so much.
