Idaho - December 2010

We drove out to Idaho to spend a long weekend with family and to get a family photo.  We also got to feed the llamas, ride snowmobiles, and go on a horse drawn sleigh/ wagon ride.  Thanks, Marilyn and Jerry for having us and putting such a huge effort into planning fun things for us to do!
Side Note - this post had a mind of its own.  It would change the font, underline things, and move pictures around all by itself.  It won't let me change it back either.  Weird.

I thought about cropping out the horse's backside, but I think it really adds to the picture :)

I think this is the best picture out of all of 'em.

Definitely not the best picture of us, but since we have very few it will have to do.  Just for the record, it bugs me when photographers shoot up at their subjects.  It's not the most flattering angle - unless you like double chins.

 This picture just shows what a fiasco it can be having pictures taken of children.

Lily's Christmas Performance

Lily's pre-school did a Christmas program.  Lily got to be a ballerina - which made her very happy.  She did a great job.  After, the kids got to sit on Santa's lap.  I feel like a terrible parent, but Lucy did not meet Santa this year.  Both my other kids have pictures of sitting on Santa's lap their first Christmas.  I completely spaced it.  Sorry Lucy!

Thanksgiving 2010

Family came out to celebrate Thanksgiving with us here in Denver.  It was a short trip for everyone, but packed full with fun stuff.  We always have such a fun time at Thanksgiving.  It's turning out to be one of my favorite holidays.

Unless, of course, we have a 2 year old that has a very stubborn tooth that won't break through or was given a ballon earlier in the day by his father and is just too excited to sleep at 2 AM and tries to climb into bed with us AND the balloon.  This particular night, I believe that was definitely the case.

Then, there are nights when our bedroom becomes the official Giles House Infirmary.  We have currently been experiencing this the last few nights.  Poor Lucy.  Cough, Cough, Sneeze, Sneeze.

I sure do appreciate nights like these a lot more!
