June is here, Let summer begin!

June 2014

When school got out, we celebrated by going to see the movie Maleficent and ate dinner at the Black Bear Diner.

Chester was very excited to have the kids home all the time.

With bed head, mix matched pajamas and homemade breakfast burritos, we sat on hill and watched the sunrise.  Then went home and fell fast asleep again.

Summer fun should always include a trip to the dentist . . .

We took Chester out for a morning hike and then met up with some friends (Packers & Strohmeyers) at Folsom Lake for a little swim fun!  It's turning out to be a great summer so far!

Our backyard landscaping is finished!  We love it and look forward to spending a lot of time hanging out back there.

One of my favorite additions to our backyard is the magnolia tree.  One of my favorite movies is Steel Magnolias and every time I see the tree I feel like it give me the right to quote that movie with a southern accent.  This tree makes me happy!

We love having good friends over to swim. Roseville is so hot during the summer. I'm really glad we have a pool to cool down in.

Grammy and Grampy came for a visit before heading out to China for a year. We had so much with them.  We ate snow cones, went to Sutter's Mill, visited the Jelly Belly Factory, the Train Museum, and even had our first Birthmas!!  Birthmas is Christmas and Birthdays combined. We did this because they would be in China for all those occasions, so we got it done in one day.

Lucy got a staph infection :(

Birthmas!

We went to Rollins Lake with the Waite family and Woster Family.  Tag had to meet up with us because he was getting home from a business trip.  I got the tent set up all by myself.
We had a great time over the weekend. (6/19-21/2014)

One of our very favorite families from Colorado came to visit.  It was so good to see the Lees.  We loved getting caught up and laughing into the wee hours of the morning.  We took them to one of our favorite hiking spots for lunch and skipping rocks.  Then, we spent one day seeing the sights in San Francisco. Unfortunately, I'm still learning my way around the city and made a couple of wrong turns.  We did eventually end up where we wanted to be.  Of course, we spent some good quality time swimming in the pool.
