Tide Pools, Aquariums, and an Ocean Breeze - These Are A Few of My Favorite Things

Taggart was invited to play golf at Pebble Beach.  We decided it would make for a fun weekend getaway with the kids.  Monterey is so beautiful and has a lot of fun activities.  I love spending time with my husband and kids, there isn't anything else I would rather do.

We drove straight to the Point Pinos Lighthouse.  It's the oldest continuously working lighthouse on the West Coast.

Just down the street are the tide pools.  The kids loved seeing the hermit crabs and sea anemone.  Just to add to their excitement, the huge waves were crashing up against the rocks.

We enjoyed running around the massive Denise the Menace playground.  It's the coolest park I've ever been to.  Later we went to dinner at fancy restaurant on the water at Fisherman's Wharf and then off to our hotel.

We got to sleep in and take our time in the morning.  After discovering our shower nozzle didn't work, the hotel offered us breakfast in their restaurant while they fixed it.  Sweet.  After our super yummy breakfast, the kids couldn't resist the heated pool.

Spending the afternoon at the Monterey Bay Aquarium was definitely one of the weekend highlights for the kids.
